Student Technology Requirements

To ensure a smooth and successful learning experience in Prenda, students, guides, and parents must be able to log into Prenda World and access essential learning tools.

Internet & Connectivity Requirements

To use Prenda World effectively, your student must have:

Broadband internet with minimum speeds of:

  • 25 Mbps download
  • 3 Mbps upload

A device that can connect to the internet, such as:

  • Chromebook
  • Laptop
  • Desktop computer
  • Tablet

Bring Your Own Device Policy: Prenda students must supply their own devices for learning.


Recommended Devices & Browsers

For the best experience, we recommend using:

Device: Chromebook
Browser: Google Chrome (Highly Recommended)


Regularly update your software and internet browser for best performance.


Hardware Minimum Requirements

Your student’s device should have:

  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Screen Size: At least 11.6 inches
  • Webcam for video conferencing
  • 3.5 mm headphone/microphone jack 🎧
  • Touchscreen (Optional, but recommended for K-2 students for easier interaction)

Supported Browsers (Latest versions required)

  • Google Chrome (Highly Recommended)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge (Windows 10 only)
  • Safari (Mac only)

Google Account Access

To use Google’s digital collaboration tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, etc.), we highly recommend that all students and guides have a Google account.

Good news! Prenda provides students with a Google Workspace account ending in @prendakids.com

Student Internet Safety Policy

Prenda follows best practices under the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) to ensure a safe online environment for students.

  • Microschool guides are responsible for implementing safety measures to:
  • Limit access to inappropriate or harmful content (obscene, violent, dangerous, etc.).
  • Monitor student internet use to support a safe and productive learning experience.
