Guide Referral Credits

Prenda's referral program rewards existing guides who refer new guides.

Guide Referral Credits

With the huge mission to empower learners, we are always looking for great people to become guides and open their own microschools. Often, these folks are connected in some way to people like you, who are already active in the Prenda community.

To celebrate and reward Prenda Guides who are helping to spread the word, we have adapted our referral program. It’s simpler than ever. Even a little bit of effort can lead to significant financial impact.

How it works

When a new guide is in the process of setting up their microschool, we ask them how they heard about Prenda. The new guide can type the name of an existing guide. Once the new guide is eligible to receive their first microschool payment, the existing guide they named will receive a referral credit against the Prenda fee for each student for the remainder of the school year. Existing guides can qualify for referral credits through September 30, 2024.

What are the numbers?

Every time a new guide names you as the referrer and becomes eligible to receive their first microschool payment, you (the referring guide) will receive a credit of $120 per year for each student in their microschool, up to a cap of 15 students. These credits can add up to a maximum of a complete offset of your Prenda fee. The annual credits for new guides you refer will be determined by the deadline of September 30, 2024, and applied equally over quarters two through four of the school year.

Example

Sue tells Rachel about Prenda and helps her get started as a guide. When Rachel creates her PrendaWorld account, she mentions Sue as the one who introduced her to Prenda. For the next school year, Sue sees a credit applied to the Prenda fee of $40 in quarter two, $40 in quarter three, and $40 in quarter four (school year quarters), an annual total of $120 for each of the 12 students in her microschool, for a combined credit of $1,440 over the year ($40/quarter x 3 quarters x 12 students). She keeps her parent fee the same, so these dollars go directly to Sue.
