Transferring a Student to a Different Microschool
For State Scholarship-Funded & Direct Pay Microschools
If your child is moving to a different Prenda microschool, follow these steps:
1️⃣ Fill out the Student Information Updates Form (one form per student).
2️⃣ Let both the current guide and the new guide know about the transfer.
3️⃣ Heads up! Your student may lose access to their learning tools (Lexia, Math, etc.) for up to one week while their account syncs with the new microschool.
For Arizona Partner-Funded Microschools
- Contact your funding partner directly to process the transfer.
Switching to a Single Family Microschool?
If your child is moving from a guided Prenda microschool to learning at home with you (or another family member), here’s what to do:
1️⃣ Let us know! Fill out the Student Information Updates Form and include your student’s last day of attendance at their current microschool.
- ⏳ Important: This process can take up to two weeks—plan accordingly!
2️⃣ Set up your Prenda World account:
- Visit this link, click your state, and select “Start My Microschool” in the top right-hand corner.
- Follow the setup instructions to get everything ready for your child.
3️⃣ Tell your child’s current guide that they’re switching to a Single Family Microschool.
- Your child keeps their Prenda-issued Chromebook (if applicable) and continues using their learning tools just like before.
Withdrawing a Student from Prenda
For State Scholarship-Funded & Direct Pay Microschools
To officially withdraw your child from Prenda:
1️⃣ Fill out the Student Information Updates Form.
2️⃣ Your child keeps their Prenda-issued Chromebook—it belongs to them!
3️⃣ Plan ahead! Prenda does not provide transcripts, so:
- Coordinate with your guide to collect benchmark results, learning tool progress, student portfolio, and any other important records.
- Once your student is withdrawn, their data will no longer be accessible.
For Arizona Partner-Funded Microschools
- Contact your charter partner for specific withdrawal instructions.
